The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are the world's time bound and quantified targets for addressing extreme poverty in its many dimensions -- income poverty, hunger disease, lack of adequate shelter, and exclusion -- while promoting gender equality, education, and environmental sustainability. They are also basic human rights -- the rights of each person on the planet.
What do the MDGs have to do with Chernobyl Children's Project International? CCPI strongly supports the MDGs. When we develop new projects, and evaluate the success of ongoing projects, we consider the MDGs and how they apply to the Belarusian and Ukrainian communities in which we work. You can read more about CCPI programs here.
